Management Team

Cecil Kost - President and CEO
A seasoned executive in the health care and pharmaceutical industries, Kost brings over 25 years of experience to MedManage Systems. He has lead distribution, medical diagnostics and e-commerce software operations at several healthcare, biotech and technology companies. Kost has extensive experience in building successful companies through customer growth, strategic partner alliances and mergers and acquisitions.

Most recently, he served as President, e-Commerce, at SciQuest, where he was responsible for leading the e-Commerce division and establishing SciQuest as a leader in software, information and services for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. SciQuest held a successful IPO in 1999 followed by a year of substantial growth from $4 milllion to $52 million in 2000.

Previously, Kost served as President and COO of Oncor, Inc., a molecular diagnostics biotech company and Senior Vice President of Curtin Matheson Scientific (CMS), where he played an instrumental role in growing annual revenues from $400 to $700 million.

Thomas Quinn, R.Ph. - Senior Vice President, Commercialization
Quinn brings extensive pharmaceutical industry experience to MedManage, where he is responsible for the company's worldwide commercial and business development strategy and activities. Prior to MedManage, Quinn served as Principal and Senior Vice President of Collaborative Consulting Group, L.L.C.

Earlier in his career, Quinn was Senior Vice President of Hospital Business at The Medicines Company. During his tenure, the company completed its initial public offering, launched Angiomax (Bivalirudin) and became a leading force in the critical-care marketplace in the U.S. While at The Medicines Company, the commercial organization grew from a five-person department to over 90 people.

Prior to The Medicines Company, Quinn was Senior Vice President, Business Development of Innovex, Inc., a division of Quintiles Transnational, where he served as an integral part of the senior management team. In conjunction with the President, Quinn was responsible for developing annual, mid-term and long-term corporate plans to achieve revenue growth and financial profitability targets. Before joining Innovex, Quinn held a series of sales, marketing and business development positions with Hoffmann-La Roche and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Quinn earned a degree in Pharmacy from Duquesne University.

Robert S. Nakahara - Chief Financial Officer
Nakahara brings over 23 years of industry expertise in strategic planning, process leadership, finance and team building for the health care industry. With MedManage, Nakahara oversees all financial aspects of the company.

Prior to MedManage, Nakahara served as Founder and Principal of ALTERRA Consulting Group. In this capacity, he worked closely with top tier business and industry contacts globally to expedite the attainment of their business goals.

Nakahara currently serves on the board of directors of the Washington State Investment Board, WPS Emergency Planning and several medical advisory boards.

Prior to 2002, he was Managing Director with Alliance Worldwide, a medical management software company. There, he was responsible for all strategic operations of Alliance Health Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary serving the medical and health technology industries.

In 1999, he served as President and COO of medical software company Advanced Research Systems, Inc. Under his management, the company successfully launched integrated care management software for the managed care industry. Nakahara also held several leadership positions with leading health care providers such as Mentor Health Northwest/Spectrum Health, PREMERA/Blue Cross and Pierce County Medical Blue Shield.

Thomas Miller - Vice President, Operations and Technology
A results-oriented IT leader with diverse leadership, industry and project experience over his 24-year career, Miller oversees all aspects of MedManage's Information Technology group, Operations group, data center operations and the company's IT infrastructure.

Expert at developing and implementing strategies that enable parallel product development programs and worldwide product launches, Miller also guides the continued expansion of the company's flagship drug sampling platform, eMedSampleTM.

Prior to joining MedManage, Miller served as the State of Washington's CIO for the Department of Personnel. There, he directed and implemented the roll-out of a $110 million SAP program - the largest and most comprehensive enterprise change program ever implemented in Washington's public sector.

Additionally, Miller was Director of Information Technology and Product Marketing at Terabeam, a start-up telecommunications equipment and network services company.

Miller has extensive international experience and has held a variety of executive IT leadership positions at 3M Company. There, he served as CIO of 3M Asia Pacific and CIO of 3M Occupational Health & Environmental Safety Division, where he implemented Web-based sales and marketing systems, developed global data management and outsourcing strategies and implemented global enterprise systems and communications infrastructures.

He also served as IT Manager for 3M Pharmaceuticals, where he gained experience in validation, regulatory and compliance issues unique to the pharmaceutical industry.

Miller has also held positions at IBM and NCR Compten.

Barry Feldman - Vice President, Quality Assurance
With over 30 years of experience in computer validation, automation and quality assurance, Feldman brings a broad range of knowledge to MedManage's quality assurance strategies and initiatives. He serves as MedManage's key customer interface on regulatory and compliance issues, as well as on implementing business process improvements.

Feldman is a founding member of the Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GAMP) Americas Special Interest Group for IT global systems and an expert on the challenges and best practices for implementing global information systems.

Prior to joining MedManage, he worked in a variety of managerial, project management and consulting roles with top pharmaceutical companies, including Merck & Co., Ciba/Sandoz Pharmaceuticals (Novartis), Warner Lambert (Pfizer) and Watson Pharmaceuticals.
